The information needed for a migration depends on the type of website and the old hosting setup.
Common details include:
- The domain name being migrated.
- The old hosting control panel login.
- FTP or SFTP details if available.
- Database access if the site uses a database.
- CMS login details, such as WordPress admin access.
- Email details if email is also being moved.
- Any important notes about the site, such as custom folders or unusual setup requirements.
For WordPress sites, admin access and hosting control panel access are often enough for us to understand the setup.
Please only send login details through the method requested by support. If possible, create temporary logins for the migration and remove them once the work is complete.
