How to Use Web Disk in cPanel

Create a Web Disk Account

1. Go to Files > Web Disk.
2. Enter a username.
3. Choose the domain.
4. Enter and confirm a password.
5. Set the directory the user can access.
6. Choose the permissions.
7. Click Create.

Configure Web Disk on Your Device

1. Go to Files > Web Disk.
2. Find the Web Disk account.
3. Click Configure Client Access.
4. Choose your operating system.
5. Follow the setup instructions shown by cPanel.

Change Web Disk Permissions

1. Go to Files > Web Disk.
2. Find the account.
3. Click the permissions option.
4. Choose Read-Write or Read-Only.
5. Save the change.

Delete a Web Disk Account

1. Go to Files > Web Disk.
2. Find the account.
3. Click Delete.
4. Confirm the deletion.

Notes

• Web Disk lets you access server files from your computer using WebDAV.
• Limit each account to the directory it needs.
• Use a strong password for every Web Disk account.
