How to Use the HTML Editor in cPanel

Open a File in the HTML Editor

  1. Go to Files > File Manager.
  2. Open the folder that contains the HTML file.
  3. Select the file.
  4. Click HTML Editor.
  5. Confirm the character encoding if cPanel asks.

Edit the Page

  1. Make your changes in the editor.
  2. Use the toolbar to format text, add links, or adjust the page content.
  3. Click Save or Save Changes.
  4. Close the editor when you are finished.

Notes

  • Download a copy before editing important pages.
  • The HTML Editor is useful for simple changes.
  • For larger website edits, use your normal website builder or code editor.
