Setting Nameservers

Nameservers control where your domain’s DNS is managed.

Change Nameservers for a Domain Registered with 4UHosting

  1. Log in to your 4UHosting customer account.
  2. Open the Domains section.
  3. Select the domain you want to change.
  4. Open the domain management page.
  5. Choose the nameserver option.
  6. Select the default nameservers, or choose custom nameservers and enter the nameservers you have been given.
  7. Save the change.

Only enter nameserver hostnames, not IP addresses.

Nameservers for DNS-Only Domains

Use these nameservers if the domain does not have hosting with us, but you want to use our DNS service:

  • green1.4uh.net
  • green2.4uh.net
  • green3.4uh.net
  • green4.4uh.net

Nameservers for Domains with Hosting

Use these nameservers if the domain has a hosting plan with us:

  • blue1.4uh.net
  • blue2.4uh.net
  • blue3.4uh.net
  • blue4.4uh.net

If the Domain Is Registered Elsewhere

If your domain is registered with another provider, log in to that provider’s control panel and change the nameservers there.

If you are not sure which nameservers to use, open a support ticket before making the change.
