How to Manage Domains in cPanel

View Your Domains

  1. Go to Domains > Domains.
  2. Review the list of domains on the account.
  3. Use the search box if you need to find a specific domain.
  4. Click the document root path if you want to open that domain’s files in File Manager.

Add a Domain

  1. Go to Domains > Domains.
  2. Click Create a New Domain.

  1. Enter the domain name.
  2. Choose whether the domain should share the same document root as another domain.
  3. Check or change the document root.
  4. Click Submit.

Manage a Domain

  1. Go to Domains > Domains.
  2. Find the domain.
  3. Click Manage.

  1. Change the available settings.
  2. Save the changes.

Remove a Domain

  1. Go to Domains > Domains.
  2. Find the domain.
  3. Click Manage.
  4. Click Remove Domain.
  5. Confirm the removal.

Force HTTPS Redirect

  1. Go to Domains > Domains.
  2. Find the domain.
  3. Use the Force HTTPS Redirect switch.
  4. If the switch is unavailable, check that the domain has a valid SSL certificate.

Notes

  • Removing a domain from cPanel does not always delete its files.
  • DNS and registration changes are handled separately from the Domains screen.
  • Website files normally live in the domain’s document root.
