How to Manage API Tokens in cPanel

Create an API Token

1. Go to Security > Manage API Tokens.
2. Click Create.
3. Enter a clear token name.

4. Choose the token permissions if cPanel shows permission options.
5. Click Create.
6. Copy the token and store it somewhere secure.

Rename an API Token

1. Go to Manage API Tokens.
2. Find the token.
3. Click Rename.
4. Enter the new name.
5. Save the change.

Revoke an API Token

1. Go to Manage API Tokens.
2. Find the token.
3. Click Revoke.
4. Confirm the revocation.

Notes

• cPanel only shows the token value when you create it.
• Revoke tokens that are no longer used.
• Use a separate token for each application or integration.
