Install WordPress with Softaculous

Softaculous lets you install WordPress from inside cPanel without uploading WordPress files manually or creating the database yourself.

To install WordPress:

  1. Log in to the client area at https://clients.4uhosting.co.uk.
  2. Choose My Services.
  3. Find the hosting service and select Manage.
  4. Select Login to cPanel from the left side.
  5. In cPanel, open Softaculous Apps Installer.
  6. Choose WordPress.
  7. Select Install.
  8. Choose the domain you want to install WordPress on.
  9. Leave the directory field empty if you want WordPress to load from the main domain.
  10. Enter the site name, site description, admin username, admin password and admin email address.
  11. Check the remaining settings, then select Install.

If you enter a folder name in the directory field, WordPress will install in that folder instead. For example, entering blog would install WordPress at yourdomain.co.uk/blog.

Keep a note of the WordPress admin username and password you choose during the installation. You will need them to log in to the WordPress dashboard after the installation has finished.
