How to Install Apps with Softaculous in cPanel

Open Softaculous

1. Go to Software > Softaculous Apps Installer.
2. Choose the app you want to install.
3. For WordPress, click WordPress.

Start the Installation

1. Click Install or Install Now.

2. Choose the protocol, such as https://.
3. Choose the domain.
4. Leave In Directory empty if the app should install on the main domain.
5. Enter a folder name only if the app should install in a subfolder.

Enter the Site Details

1. Enter the site name.
2. Enter the site description if the installer asks for it.
3. Choose any site settings you need.

Create the Admin Login

1. Enter the admin username.
2. Enter a strong admin password.
3. Enter the admin email address.

Finish the Installation

1. Check the installation settings.
2. Click Install.
3. Wait for Softaculous to finish.
4. Save the admin URL and login details.

Manage an Existing Installation

1. Open Softaculous Apps Installer.
2. Open All Installations or the installations list.
3. Use the available options to log in, update, clone, stage, back up, or remove the installation.

Notes

• Leave In Directory empty for an install at the domain root.
• Use a strong password and a real admin email address.
• Delete unused installations to reduce security risk.
