Install a Plugin in WordPress

You can install a WordPress plugin from the WordPress plugin directory or upload a plugin ZIP file.

To install a plugin from the WordPress directory:

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin area.
  2. Go to Plugins.
  3. Select Add New.
  4. Search for the plugin you want to install.
  5. Select Install Now.
  6. Select Activate.

To upload a plugin ZIP file:

  1. Go to Plugins.
  2. Select Add New.
  3. Select Upload Plugin.
  4. Choose the plugin ZIP file from your computer.
  5. Select Install Now.
  6. Select Activate Plugin.

Only install plugins from sources you trust. Poorly maintained or nulled plugins can create security problems for your site.
