How to Import Email Accounts or Forwarders in cPanel

Prepare the Import File

  1. Create a spreadsheet or CSV file.
  2. Add one email address or forwarder per row.
  3. For email accounts, include the password in the same row.
  4. For CSV files, use a consistent separator, such as a comma.
  5. Save the file as .csv or .xls.

Steps

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Go to Email > Address Importer.
  3. Choose E-mail Accounts or Forwarders.
  4. Click Choose File and select your import file.
  5. If you are importing a CSV file, choose the delimiter used in the file.
  6. Select Treat first row as column headers if your file has headings in the first row.

  1. Click Next.

  1. Match the file columns to the correct cPanel fields.
  2. Set unused columns to Ignore.
  3. Choose the domain from the Domain menu.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Review the import.
  6. Click Finish.

Notes

  • Passwords must meet the server’s password strength rules.
  • After the import finishes, click Import More if you need to upload another file.
