How Do I Get SSH Access?

SSH access is disabled by default on hosting accounts.

If you need SSH access, contact support and explain why you need it.

Request SSH Access

1. Open a support ticket.
2. Tell us which hosting account needs SSH access.
3. Explain what you need SSH access for.
4. Wait for us to review the request.

VPN Tunnel Requirement

If SSH access is enabled on your account, you will also need to use a VPN tunnel that we provide.

Contact support to arrange the VPN tunnel before trying to connect by SSH.

Temporary Access

SSH access is normally granted on a temporary basis.

When you have completed the task, let us know so we can disable the access again.

If you need longer-term SSH access, include that in your support ticket so we can discuss it with you.
