Get the EPP Code for Your Domain

An EPP code is used when you transfer some domain names away to another provider.

Get the EPP Code

  1. Log in to your 4UHosting customer account.
  2. Open the Domains section.
  3. Select the domain you want to transfer.
  4. Open the domain management page.
  5. Click Get EPP Code.
  6. Follow the instructions shown on screen.

If the EPP Code Option Is Not Shown

Open a support ticket and tell us which domain you want the EPP code for.

Some domain extensions use a different transfer process and may not show an EPP code option in the customer account.

Before You Transfer the Domain

  • Make sure the domain is unlocked if the new provider requires it.
  • Make sure the registrant email address is correct.
  • Check that the domain is not expired.
  • Keep your website, email, and DNS settings backed up before starting the transfer.
