How to Create Global Email Filters in cPanel

Steps

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Go to Email > Global Email Filters.
  3. Click Create a New Filter.

  1. Enter a filter name.
  2. Set the rule. For example, choose Subject, contains, and enter a keyword.
  3. Choose the action cPanel should take when the rule matches.
  4. Click Create.

Create a Wildcard Redirect

  1. Go to Email > Global Email Filters.
  2. Click Create a New Filter.
  3. Enter a filter name.
  4. Create a rule that matches the address pattern you want.
  5. Choose Redirect to Email as the action.
  6. Enter the destination email address.
  7. Click Create.

Edit a Filter

  1. Go to Email > Global Email Filters.
  2. Find the filter.

  1. Click Edit.
  2. Make your changes.
  3. Click Save.

Delete a Filter

  1. Go to Email > Global Email Filters.
  2. Find the filter.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Confirm the deletion.

Test a Filter

  1. Go to Email > Global Email Filters.
  2. Enter a sample message in the test box.
  3. Click Test Filter.
  4. Review the result.

Notes

  • Global filters apply to all email accounts on the cPanel account.
  • If only one mailbox needs the rule, use Email Filters instead.
