How to Create an Autoresponder in cPanel

Steps

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Go to Email > Autoresponders.
  3. Choose the domain from the Managing menu if needed.
  4. Click Add Autoresponder.

  1. Leave Character Set as utf-8 unless you know you need something else.
  2. Enter the Interval in hours. This controls how often the same sender can receive the automatic reply.
  3. Enter the email address that should send the reply.
  4. Enter the From name.
  5. Enter the Subject.
  6. Select HTML only if your message contains HTML.
  7. Enter the message in Body.
  8. Choose the start time.
  9. Choose the stop time.
  10. Click Create.

Edit an Autoresponder

  1. Go to Email > Autoresponders.
  2. Find the autoresponder in the list.

  1. Click Edit.
  2. Make your changes.
  3. Click Modify.

Delete an Autoresponder

  1. Go to Email > Autoresponders.
  2. Find the autoresponder.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Confirm by clicking Delete Autoresponder.

Notes

  • Use an interval of 0 only if you want cPanel to reply to every message.
  • You can use %subject%, %from%, and %email% in the message body.
  • Each email address can only have one autoresponder.
