Change Your WordPress Password in the Dashboard

You can change your WordPress password from inside the WordPress dashboard if you know your current login details.

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin area.
  2. Go to Users.
  3. Select Profile.
  4. Scroll to the Account Management section.
  5. Select Set New Password.
  6. Enter your new password or use the generated one.
  7. Select Update Profile.

Your new password should work immediately.

Use a strong password that is not used for any other account. If more than one person manages the website, each person should have their own WordPress user account.
