If the wrong address is saved there, the site may redirect incorrectly or fail to load properly.<\/p>\n<p>You can update the WordPress home and site URL from phpMyAdmin.<\/p>\n<p>Before editing the database, take a backup if possible.<\/p>\n<p>To update the URLs:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the 4UHosting client area at https:\/\/clients.4uhosting.co.uk.<\/li>\n<li>Choose <strong>My Services<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Find the hosting service and select <strong>Manage<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Login to cPanel<\/strong> from the left side.<\/li>\n<li>Open <strong>phpMyAdmin<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the database used by the WordPress site.<\/li>\n<li>Open the table ending in <code>_options<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li>Find the row named <code>siteurl<\/code> and edit the value.<\/li>\n<li>Find the row named <code>home<\/code> and edit the value.<\/li>\n<li>Save the changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The two values are often the same, such as <code>https:\/\/example.co.uk<\/code>.<\/p>\n<p>The table prefix may not always be <code>wp_<\/code>, so the options table may have a different name, such as <code>abc_options<\/code>.<\/p>\n<p>If you are not sure which database the site uses, check the <code>wp-config.php<\/code> file for the database name before making changes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WordPress stores the site address in the database.
