WordPress plugin errors can cause missing features, broken pages, error messages or a site that will not load properly.<\/p>\n

If the site is live or business-critical, take a backup before troubleshooting. If you are unsure, open a support ticket before making changes.<\/p>\n

If You Can Access WordPress<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Log in to your WordPress admin area.<\/li>\n
  2. Go to Plugins<\/strong> > Installed Plugins<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Deactivate any caching plugin first.<\/li>\n
  4. Check whether the problem is still happening.<\/li>\n
  5. If the problem continues, deactivate the other plugins.<\/li>\n
  6. Check the site again.<\/li>\n
  7. Reactivate the plugins one at a time.<\/li>\n
  8. After each plugin is reactivated, check whether the problem returns.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If the problem returns after activating a specific plugin, that plugin is likely involved.<\/p>\n

    You can then check whether the plugin has an update, replace it with an alternative plugin or contact the plugin developer.<\/p>\n

    If You Cannot Access WordPress<\/h2>\n

    If a plugin has broken the WordPress dashboard, you can disable plugins from the file manager.<\/p>\n

    1. Log in to cPanel.<\/li>\n
    2. Open File Manager<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    3. Open the folder where WordPress is installed.<\/li>\n
    4. Go to:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. Find the folder for the plugin you want to disable.<\/li>\n
      2. Rename the plugin folder.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        For example:<\/p>\n

        plugin-name-disabled<\/code><\/p>\n

        1. Try loading the website or WordPress dashboard again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Renaming a plugin folder prevents WordPress from loading that plugin. To enable the plugin again, rename the folder back to its original name.<\/p>\n

          Check Error Messages<\/h2>\n

          If you see a PHP error, look at the file path in the message.<\/p>\n

          If the path includes \/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code>, the plugin named after that part of the path may be causing the problem.<\/p>\n

          Example:<\/p>\n

          \/wp-content\/plugins\/example-plugin\/example-plugin.php<\/code><\/p>\n

          In this example, the issue is likely connected to example-plugin<\/code>.<\/p>\n
