This can help reduce comment spam on older content.<\/p>\n<p>To close comments after a set number of days:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to your WordPress admin area.<\/li>\n<li>Go to <strong>Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Discussion<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Find <strong>Other comment settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Tick <strong>Automatically close comments on posts older than<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the number of days you want to allow comments for.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Save Changes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This setting affects posts once they are older than the number of days you choose.
