If you have updated your website but still see the old version, there are a few common causes.<\/p>\n

Check the Files Were Uploaded to the Correct Folder<\/h2>\n

Make sure the new files are in the correct document root for the domain.<\/p>\n

For the main domain, this is usually:<\/p>\n

public_html<\/strong><\/p>\n

For another domain on the same hosting account, check the domain’s document root in cPanel.<\/p>\n

Clear Your Browser Cache<\/h2>\n

Your browser may be showing a saved copy of the old page.<\/p>\n

Clear the browser cache, or reload the page using a hard refresh.<\/p>\n

On many Windows browsers, you can press Ctrl + F5<\/strong> while viewing the page.<\/p>\n

Check for Multiple Homepage Files<\/h2>\n

If more than one homepage file exists, the server may load the old one first.<\/p>\n

For example, if both index.html<\/strong> and index.php<\/strong> exist in the same folder, one may take priority over the other.<\/p>\n

Rename or remove the old homepage file if it is no longer needed.<\/p>\n

Check Website or Plugin Caches<\/h2>\n

If you use WordPress or another application, it may have its own cache.<\/p>\n

Clear any website, plugin, theme, or server-side cache after uploading changes.<\/p>\n

If It Still Shows the Old Page<\/h2>\n

Open a support ticket and tell us:<\/p>\n

  • Which file you updated<\/li>\n
