Your hosting account has an overall disk space limit.<\/p>\n

If the account reaches its limit, parts of the service may stop working properly because the server cannot save new files.<\/p>\n

This can affect websites, email, logs, statistics, and other account functions.<\/p>\n

What to Do First<\/h2>\n

  1. Log in to cPanel.<\/li>\n
  2. Check the disk usage for the account.<\/li>\n
  3. Look for large files, old backups, unused website files, and large mailboxes.<\/li>\n
  4. Delete anything you no longer need.<\/li>\n
  5. Empty trash folders in webmail or your email program if you use IMAP.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Check Email Usage<\/h2>\n

    Email can use a lot of disk space, especially if you use IMAP.<\/p>\n

    With IMAP, messages stay on the server, including sent mail, deleted mail, and attachments.<\/p>\n

    Check each mailbox and remove old messages you no longer need.<\/p>\n

    Check Website Files<\/h2>\n

    Look for:<\/p>\n

    • Unused website folders<\/li>\n
    • Large media uploads<\/li>\n
    • Cache folders<\/li>\n
