Use these settings when setting up a 4UHosting mailbox in an email program, phone, tablet, or other device.<\/p>\n

Recommended SSL Settings<\/h2>\n

Use SSL\/TLS settings whenever possible.<\/p>\n

Username and Password<\/h2>\n

Your username is your full email address.<\/p>\n

Use the password you chose when you created the mailbox in cPanel.<\/p>\n

Do not use SPA<\/strong> or Secure Password Authentication<\/strong> if your email program shows that option.<\/p>\n

Incoming Mail Settings<\/h2>\n

Use IMAP unless you specifically need POP3.<\/p>\n

  • Incoming server: mx.yourdomain<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • IMAP port: 993<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • POP3 port: 995<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • SSL\/TLS: on<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Username: your full email address<\/li>\n
  • Password: the mailbox password<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Replace yourdomain<\/strong> with your own domain name.<\/p>\n

    Outgoing Mail Settings<\/h2>\n

    • Recommended SMTP port: 465<\/strong> with SSL\/TLS<\/li>\n
    • Alternative SMTP port: 587<\/strong> with STARTTLS<\/li>\n
    • SMTP authentication: on<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Username: your full email address<\/li>\n
    • Password: the mailbox password<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      3. Find the email address you want to set up.<\/li>\n
