SMTP Authentication Outlook 2010

If you didn't enable SMTP authentication in Outlook 2010 when you first configured your Email account, you can do this by following the steps below...

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2010.
  2. Click File.
  3. Click Info.
  4. Click Account Settings.
  5. Click the button Account Settings and select your Email account from the list.
  6. Click Change.
  7. Click More Settings.
  8. Select the Outgoing Server tab.
  9. Tick the box My Server Requires Authentcation.
  10. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Click Next.
  13. Click Finish.
