550 Relay Not Permitted

This error code can be returned for a number of reasons, but if you have recently ordered hosting, or added an addon domain to an existing plan and set up a new Email address, receiving this error when sending to that address means that your domain didn't get added properly to the Email cluster at the time it was set up.

To fix this, you simply need to login to your cPanel interface and click the "SpamExperts" icon. You will then be asked to choose the domain to manage. Choose the one you are getting the 550 error for and it will log you into the anti spam interface for that domain. In the process of doing that, the system will add the route if it does not already exist, and your domain will be able to receive messages immediately.

This issue has arisen due to some changes in the cPanel API and should only affect customers who added a new domain to their plan, or signed up for hosting between May and September 2013. As of the 5th of September 2013, we believe this issue to be fixed, so any new domains should be added correctly going forward. Please accept our apologies for any disruption caused by this problem.
