503 Valid RCPT command must precede DATA

This error message occurs when sending mail. It means that the server has been unable to authenticate you.

Check your Email client settings and make sure that you have smtp authentication enabled. In most Microsoft Email software this is the tick box on the server tab of the account properties entitled "My Server Requires Authentication". In other clients it will be an option labelled "SMTP Auth" or just described as "Authenticate Senders".
