Images Not Showing

You may have created the link to call the image on your page, but the image has not been uploaded.

Make sure that your images are uploaded to the correct folder. If you've created a separate folder "images" and linked your image files from that folder, you need to upload the image files to that folder.

Make sure the path that you provide for calling the image in the browser is specified properly in your HTML. For example if you have an image named "photo.gif" which is uploaded in the "images" folder, the path to call that image should be as follows:

img src="images/photo.gif" (you need to provide the exact path for the image that you're calling).

Check the file permissions on your image. It must be world-readable (CHMOD 0644) to allow your visitors to see it.

Check the filename and make sure the name of the file in your image path is the same as the actual filename of the image. Bear in mind that our web servers run on the Linux operating system and files are case sensive. So Photo.gif and photo.gif are two totally different files.

If you are using a mod_rewrite directive in your htaccess file for handling images, there may be a mistake in the syntax. Remove your rule temporarily to see if it is the cause.

If you are using a PHP based web application such as Joomla or Wordpress and your images are not displaying, this could be for a number of reasons. You should contact the available support resources for your web application, before contacting us for help.
