Dear Customer,

This is the first of what we hope will be regular newsletters, designed  to keep you informed of our ongoing improvements and plans. Currently the aim is to send out a mailing every couple of months. This newsletter contains information about our current server replacement project, our collaborations with SpamExperts and Attracta as well as info about our affiliate scheme that really could help you get your hosting for free.

Server Replacements.

If you've been a customer of ours for a few years, you'll know that we periodically replace all our hardware with new kit. We announced recently via our facebook page that we have started building and fitting new servers. Customers will benefit from our new high specification servers that include twice the processing power and twice the memory of our current ones. This means that we can raise the resources available to your hosting account to make your sites run faster, allow for more concurrent connections and generally give each hosting account more resources. We won't be increasing the number of hosted accounts per server, so every one of our current hosting customers will benefit from these changes.

The process of moving you to a new server is very straightforward and seamless. Most customers will not need to make any changes at all. We will contact you a few days before your server move with all the details you will need.

Collaborations.

We have been using software provided by SpamExperts on our inbound Email cluster since 2009, but many of you won't be aware of this because we don't use their branding in our control panel. You access the SpamExperts software every time you click "Anti Spam" from your cPanel interface. This week we have announced our partnership with SpamExperts because we want to make our customers aware that we are providing you with a premium Anti Spam service at no additional cost. Most other hosting providers charge extra for premium services like this. We provide an all inclusive service without compromising on quality in any way, while still being competitive on price.

The second collaboration was announced via our news page a while ago, but we wanted to include it in this newsletter. You may have noticed a new set of icons in your cpanel area recently related to search engine optimisation. These are the Attracta SEO Tools. Essentially we provide you with their free tools which include a sitemap generator, auto submission of your site to Google, Bing and Yahoo directories, check broken links, create meta tags and several other very useful SEO tools. Attracta also provide Paid SEO services, which is of course why they allow us to offer their free services in the hope that you will upgrade - but there is no obligation to use their paid products and the free tools are very useful for increasing your search engine exposure and rankings.

Get your hosting for free.

Many of you will not be aware that we have an affiliate scheme here at 4UHosting that pays credits into your account when someone you referred to us makes a purchase. We give you 10% commission on all new orders you send our way and those credits are automatically used to pay any invoice that is raised in your account. This means you only need to refer a handful of people to get your hosting for free! To activate your affiliate account just login to your customer account on our website and click the "Affiliates" link on the account area menu. You will be provided with a unique link that you can email to others, or display on your website. Many of you tell us that you regularly recommend 4Uhosting to others, so why not be rewarded for doing so?

Are you a web designer?

If you are a full time web designer / developer, we want to hear from you! We are planning to create a directory of web service companies and freelancers that use our services for their own clients. Our aim is simply to recommend you to our current customers. We are asked all the time if we can recommend a good web design / development service and we'd like to go one step further and introduce your services to our customers from within the customer account area - at no charge to you. We expect this to benefit our customers, in that  they can easily find a recommended web designer, it will benefit us in terms of customer retention and it will benefit our web design / development partners due to new business as a result of these introductions. So if you are an experienced web designer / developer - please get in touch with us via our helpdesk to discuss this opportunity further.

December promotion.

As a new festive promotion, we are offering a massive 20% discount on new hosting orders between now and the end of December. So if  you know anyone who's in need of a great UK Web Hosting plan, give them promotional code I3MYGQ1QW7 and tell them to head over to 4UHosting.co.uk before the end of the month.

Work in progress.

We are always working hard in the background here to find ways of providing a better service and more features to our customers. Since our site re-launch in July we've added a few great features such as SMS reminders for domain renewals, fully featured DNS management from within your account area, an easier to use billing system, sub accounts, a live help service and there are more improvements being implemented now, with more to come.

Since last week we have taken on some external support staff to help while we work on various projects here. This is a 24 hour service, so currently we are offering full 24 hour technical support to our customers, with a guaranteed reply to support tickets of 15 minutes. This is set to continue for the foreseeable future.

We are also working on our VPS/ Cloud platform that will allow us to offer some high availability, scalable and managed hosting products in the future. This is a long term project and while there isn't much news on this right now, expect to see more updates into 2014.

And Finally...

We would like to thank you most sincerely for your business in 2013 and the team here wish you all the best for the Christmas season and a prosperous 2014.
