About Us
4UH was born in 2002 and was originally an I.T consultancy. Our hosting products were developed after receiving particularly bad service from a number of hosting companies.
We found them inflexible and more interested in taking our money than helping with our after-sales enquiries. Above all, we objected to their prices.
We are a small, family run outfit with many years of experience in I.T. The staff at 4UH have backgrounds in customer service, project management, technical support & site development so you know you are in safe hands.
Our aim is to provide "big company services" at very competetive prices but with the personal attention and friendly support of a small family business. You will find our web hosting very good value for money, our service of the highest quality and our advice always free and relevent. |
Servers
We are proud to announce that since The end of may 2005 4uhosting.co.uk is exclusively using Dell PowerEdge ™ Servers.

Some hosts overload large servers with hundreds of domains. Their performance is often poor and if a problem occurs, it affects more customers. Not us ! We use high quality, mid range hardware and never run more than 200 domains from any server.

Data Centre
Our servers are housed in a state of the art data centre in Berkshire. The building has 24 hour security, UPS failover and secondary generator facilities.
The advanced air conditioning system keeps the temperature cool and monitored at all times. A gas fire suppression system has been installed so that in the event of fire, equipment damage is greatly limited.

The Network
Every server is connected to the fully switched 10/100 Mbps internal network via a series of redundantly routed switches.
Bandwidth is provided by three seperate external fibre networks and from three different Tier-1 ISP's, allowing for a greater level of performance and resilience.
The network load can be accurateley balanced and in the event of a connection failing, traffic is automatically re-routed within seconds down alternative connections.
